Types of visa to do business in Bali

If you are visiting Bali to do business, then it is important you select the correct type of visa:

Digital Nomads: Despite a lot of speculation regarding visas for digital nomads, there is still no official new visa type specifically for this purpose. Many cite Single Entry Visa, but this visa is not for working. Once the Digital Nomad Visa is released, we are sure it will help attract foreign tourists and remote workers.

Single Entry Business Visa: This visa is aimed at foreign tourists who want to spend up to 180 days within Indonesia consecutively. In the past Indonesian citizens could sponsor foreigners as long as they could provide bank account statements to prove they could afford to sponsor; however, at this time sponsorship is now provided by Indonesian legal entities.

Multiple Entry Business Visa: This visa is intended for certain foreigners who visit Bali frequently for business meetings. The visa has a validity of 1- 5 years (depending on application) and allows the foreigner to spend 60 consecutive days in the country at a time.

What type of Visa should I apply for entering Bali?

The type of visa you apply for when entering Bali truly depends on your individual circumstances and preferences. Visa selection can be based on: Nationality, length of stay, purpose of stay and future plans once in the country.

Many nationalities, may enter using the Visa on Arrival if they are visiting for tourism purposes, but if they are coming for other purposes or they are not eligible for the Visa on Arrival, they may need to reconsider which visa is right for them.
